Position Overview

This position is for a Maintenance Technician with an ability to perform general maintenance tasks while upkeeping the property’s maintenance demands.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

· Basic electrical work, including replacing lighting fixtures, outlets, and fuses.

· Basic plumbing, including replacing fixtures, changing pipes, fixing leaks, etc.

· Basic carpentry and masonry work, including plastering, painting, sheetrock, etc.

· Repair and maintain interior and exterior of property (Including demolition, drywall, grouting, trash pick-up, etc.).

· Fulfill work orders. Maintain 1-2 business-day turnaround time on tickets.

· Maintain the exterior and all common areas of the property.

· Prepare units for move-in, including but not limited to punch-out, painting, cleaning, and any other necessary work. Maintain one-week turnaround target.

· Ensure community facilities are well-maintained.

· Clean grounds, laundry rooms and common areas.

· Perform all other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager and/or Regional Property Manager.

Qualifications

· Demonstrate strong communication skills with Maintenance Manager and Property Manager.

· Demonstrated knowledge of basic maintenance and repair skills, including the use of hand tools and other necessary equipment.

· Must have valid driver’s license.

· Must have working mobile telephone.

· Ability to use a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, step ladder, snow blower and leaf blower.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day) to perform the following physical activities: bending, climbing step ladders, lifting, carrying, grasping, gripping, turning, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs; stooping and squat kneel.

· Follow written procedures and verbal instructions. Must be able to read and write in English.

· Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
